About eight hours after I posted our new video on You Tube, I went back and saw that people could not watch it without removing their safety filter. Maybe some of you don’t use the safety filter, but I do and I was dismayed that people might think there was something dodgy about this video and not watch it.
I immediately reported the problem to YouTube and then checked back periodically to see how long it took to get them to fix the problem. This morning I checked the video again and saw that it is no longer blocked by the filter. This is a big relief. They didn’t send me an explanation, they just unblocked it. I’m sure two days behind the filter didn’t do the video any favors but we will press on!
So, what did we learn class? If you post a video on YouTube, make sure you check back in a few hours to see if it is blocked. Also, if you report a incorrectly blocked video they will fix it but it may take a couple of days.
In other news, based on feedback from Roy on Facebook, the image for this article is 1200×1200. Hopefully FB will like it more than the previous ones.
