Since the beginning of the year when I released the Map Editor, I have been doing a new update almost every week as I worked to make the Map Editor better integrate with the rest of the app and fix bugs as people discovered them. I currently do all the coding myself and thus I do all of the testing myself. This means that you may find a bug. I apologize for that, but the reality is when one person is testing they test it as they imagine it will be used, and then it is handed to the public and they use it based on their own assumptions, which may be different than the way I thought they would use it. This often leads to the user discovering bugs that it didn’t even occur to me to check.
At this point, I feel that the Map Editor is well integrated and I have updated the Sample Module that loads with a new install to include a map and some characters in that map. I feel this better introduces the new user to the potential of this app. If you are a current user, you don’t need to reinstall. I added the ability to create the sample module in the same menu where you create new modules.
Unless I discover/am told about a pretty terrible bug, I am going to shift my attention to a new feature. I’m not quite ready to release information about this yet and I would prefer to do that in a separate post anyway. I’m just letting you know that I’m not going to be cranking out updates as fast as I have been recently for a while, but I am working on something that will take this app to the next level.
